Tonight is a rather chilly night for us, and it’s got me wanting to fire up the wood stove. We can’t do so just yet because it’s not quite chilly enough, but that doesn’t mean I’m not thinking about it. I love the winter months, and I absolutely love using the wood stove. We heat the house with it, I cook on it from time to time, and we never have to worry about losing our heat if the power goes out.
This year I do have to order some new Fireplace accessories because we've completely lost our shovel and poker. I packed them up in the Spring to prevent the baby from getting ahold of them, and now I can't find them. I've searched the house from top to bottom, and they're just not here. I also want to order a screen to keep the baby from getting too close to the wood stove. I found one that will wrap around it completely, but it was a bit pricey.
