How Did You Do?

Black Friday may be over, but the sales are still going strong in most stores. How did you fair? Did you stay out of the mess this year, or did you shop 'til you dropped? I chose to avoid the shopping this year for the most part. These car insurance rates we're paying thanks to Hubby's inability to do the speed limit took a bite out of the paycheck this week.  That didn't leave much left over for shopping.  I did manage to swing into Michaels for some 70% off ribbon to make wreaths and decorate the tree.

Another Black Friday Under Our Belts

Did everyone have fun yesterday?  I admit this year I did not venture out into the crowds and chaos to do my Black Friday shopping, but I did take advantage of a few Black Friday deals online.  I just didn’t have the cash or the time to plan a Black Friday venture to the store this year, but a lot of stores were giving away free shipping for online orders of items already greatly discounted.

If you picked up some really great deals I’d love to hear about them.  Where any stores in your area running extra promotions?  I’ve had a few people tell me that some stores were giving out extra freebies to all Black Friday shoppers as they came in the door!  A local mom and pop shop gave goodie bags to all patrons that included a gift card and some promotional items like the ones you pick up at tradeshow giveaways with their store logo.

If you didn’t get a chance to do any shopping yesterday don’t worry.  Cyber Monday is on it’s way, so you still have the opportunity to pick up some great gifts for a steal without having to fight crowds and stand in line.  Personally I prefer the online shopping myself!

Black Friday Ads Posted

I haven’t had much time online the last few days, but tonight I had to sit down for a few minutes to check out the ads that have been posted for Black Friday.  With Hubby still out of work I’ll definitely be hitting up Black Friday sales for our family’s Christmas this year.  I’m not letting my daughter go without on the first Christmas in which she’ll actually be able to participate.

I don’t plan to spend a lot, and that’s why the Black Friday sales are perfect for us.  Sure I’ll have to drag myself out of bed well before the sun comes up, and I'll probably be running around so jacked up it'll seem like I popped a whole bottle of thermogenic fat burners, but it will definitely be worth it when I see the look on my little girl's face on Christmas morning.

If you’re crazy enough to hit up the sales like I am below you’ll find a listing of a few great sites that post Black Friday and Cyber Monday ads.  A lot of stores, such as Walmart, are also running specials that are at 12:01am Friday morning, so if you’re not the early bird type you may still have a chance to do some last night shopping before you retire to bed!

Anywho, here are a few sites I use.

Keep An Eye Out For The Sales

This is a great time of year for shopping for anything and everything because it’s time for Black Friday sales!  We have quite a few Black Friday sales going on in our area this weekend, so be on the lookout in your local stores and papers for ads announcing when their Black Friday sales are.  I keep a list of things to look for during the sales because you can get some really great prices on anything and everything.

Last year I didn’t get to go shopping because I wasn’t dragging a newborn out in the wee hours of the morning, but the year before that I got some really great deals.  We saved over 50% on a new TV, and I was able to pick up some petite clothing for my sister-in-law at a really cheap price. A lot of people don't really think about buying clothes during Black Friday sales, but you really can find them on sale. I always check both online and store sales for clothes for my sister-in-law because she is very petite person who has a hard time finding clothes that fit without shopping in the little girl's section.  I have a better chance of finding these clothes on sale when other sales are running, and more people seem to be interested in the big ticket electronics items during these sales which normally means I’m not stuck pushing through a crowd of people to shop for clothing!

Aveeno Baby Coupon

Here's a quick coupon for a product I'm absolutely loving right now.  Receive a coupon for $1 off ANY Aveeno® Baby product by registering for a free account at the Aveeno® website.  If you haven't tried the Aveeno® baby line yet it's worth a try.  We were having a ton of problems with our little girl's skin when we brought her home from the hospital, and it all cleared up after 1 application of the Aveeno® baby lotion!  I'll never use anything else on her.

Now I'm off to fix some lunch and mop the floors before the baby wakes up.  I never realized how much dirt gets tracked in on these floors until we had the baby.  I'm seriously considering buying a box of disposable shoe covers and making people put them on when they walk in the door. It's definitely easier than demanding they take their shoes off.

Anywho, as soon as I'm done with the mopping (and if the baby doesn't wake up), I'm going to try to get back here to post a list of Black Friday Deals.

Buy.com Cyber Monday Specials

It's that time of the year again when we get to take advantage of all the awesome sales out there leading into the holiday season.  I admit I've been known to be one of those crazy people who stands in line for hours on Black Friday waiting for that one deal, but I do believe I'm more fond of Cyber Monday. Sitting at my desk snagging the deals from home is better than standing outside in the cold anyday!

Speaking of Cyber Monday I totally plan to take advantage of Buy.com's Cyber Monday deals this year. You can already see some of the awesome deals Buy.com is offering this season on their website, so grab them before they're all gone.

Looking For The Deals

With the holidays upon us we know this is the time of the year when we all start thinking about some very important things.  First there's all the presents we have to buy and all the awesome food we get to eat.  Then we start looking out for the Black Friday sales and scoping out the diet plans and appetite suppressants to help us burn off all those extra calories we put on eating all that good food.

This year I know I'll be stuffing myself as usual...and probably more so thanks to my pregnancy appetite. I can't really help you with burning calories or losing weight, but I will be on the search for the Black Friday deals. I'll share what can find, and if anyone has any tips feel free to send them my way. I'll list any Black Friday info immediately.
